Marine Corps League Monthly Meeting:
Second Saturday of each month at 0800.

Meeting Location:
Golden Corral Restaurant
225 University Pkwy
Orem, Utah

If you are interested in improving your community,  helping our disabled veterans, or supporting our servicemen and women overseas, then please join us in our monthly meeting.   We can’t accomplish anything without dedicated, professional volunteers.

We are a proud bunch of Marines, Army, Air Force, Navy etc. all of which have served our Country by diligently doing what was asked of us. Some involved direct combat, some provided direct support for our combat troops, some were maintenance professionals, some were trainers preparing our combat troops to be the best servicemen and women that the world has ever seen. We now continue our dedication to freedom and liberty by volunteering to teach our communities awareness of the standards of which we practice. Those standards and sacrifices provide the basis of the freedoms we all enjoy.

After the end of World War II, many individuals recognized the need for a memorial to the dead of December 7, 1941. Navy personnel sought a tribute to the sailors who died at Pearl Harbor, while others sought to commentate the Japanese attack itself. In 1946, Mr. Tucker Gratz, a prominent Oahu businessman, spearheaded civilian efforts toward the creation of a shrine to the sunken battleship USS Arizona. The efforts of Mr. Gratz and others led to the creation of the Pacific War Memorial Commission (PWMC) in 1949. The PWMC was tasked with the creation of permanent World War II tributes in Hawaii, including a monument to those killed in the December 7th attack. (more…)
